West Ham United made a huge splash in the transfer market during the summer but all that momentum quickly fizzled out as the Hammers found themselves at the bottom of the table.

Now that Manuel Pellegrini’s men have managed to climb back up, they seem to have yet another problem on their hands.

And this time it’s about keeping hold of one of their top-rated youngsters.

As the end of the season draws closer, more and more teams are joining the race to sign midfielder Declan Rice.

The 19-year-old is currently one of the most sought-after youngsters in European football and clubs likes Manchester United, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have all shown in the midfielder.

While Man United are not too keen on the players but it seems Jurgen Klopp has marked him out as a possible target.

And now if reports are to be believed then Arsenal are also planning to make a move for Declan Rice during the summer.

Rice is out of contract during the summer meaning if he fails to sign a new deal with the club then he becomes a free agent – hence even more interest in the midfielder.

While Manuel Pellegrini has maintained that Declan Rice will put pen on paper to a new deal but rumours claim that he will only sign a new contract when his demands are met – which is to see a rise of his current wage from £3,500-a-week to £20,000-a-week.

Like the other managers, Unai Emery too wants to bring on Declan Rice on a free transfer but with so many clubs interested in him we feel it will all come down to the wages that he will receive at his next club.
