Is ‘this’ finally ‘goodbye Mesut Ozil’ at Arsenal Football Club?

Mesut Ozil Arsenal

Mesut Ozil got to start during Arsenal’s win vs Burnley and the German once again proved why he still remains a force to be reckoned with.

Ozil came up with a superb performance any many believe Unai Emery will now give him more game time given that he has proved his worth to the side.

But pundits feel Mesut Ozil returned back to the side simply because the manager wanted to rotate his attackers during the busy period.

People still remain sceptic about Ozil’s future at the club as multiple reports claim the German playmaker will be on his way out of the club during the January transfer window.

And now İstanbul Başaksehir have claimed that they can do anything to sign Mesut Ozil next month.

Başaksehir are currently the league leaders in the Turkish Super Lig and rumours have it that they are planning to make a move for Mesut Ozil during the winter transfer window.

“Mesut Özil is a precious player,” Başakşehir President Göksel Gümüşdağ is quoted as saying.

“I hope one day our paths will cross at Basaksehir. If he wants to be with us as well, we would do anything to get him.”

These rumours though cannot be verified right now but the last thing that Mesut Ozil would want now is to move to Turkey and take a step down in his footballing career.

A number of top European clubs have shown interest in signing the playmaker and some reports claim that Florentino Perez wants Mesut Ozil to return back to Real Madrid for a second stint at the club.

It still remains to be seen what the Gunners will do with him but the playmaker is currently the highest earning player in the squad so Unai Emery will not be particularly happy to waste so much money on a benchwarmer.
