Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira might be on his way to AC Milan during the summer transfer window – as per the latest reports.

Milan’s new boss Marco Giampaolo wants to bring his former Sampdoria star to Milan for the upcoming season and it is being believed that Emery will let him leave.

While some reports have claimed that the midfielder will not be sold off but the Gunners are desperate for funds in order to bring in new signings. And this could very well force the Spanish boss to part ways with the Uruguayan.

But as per the latest reports in Italy, while Arenal will agree to sell off Torreira this summer but two major factors could determine how the deal eventually pans out.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport(via Calciomercato),  here are the two factors:

“The first one is Ivan Gazidis, who was Arsenal’s CEO for more than ten years. The South African director could take advantage of his contacts with his former collaborators to facilitate negotiations, with Gazidis being the perfect mediator for a potential deal.

“The other factor is the will of Lucas Torreira himself, who would have already let his agent know that he wants to leave England.

“The player would be willing to join Milan, where he would reunite with his mentor Giampaolo. It is the desire of the player himself as well as his Italian wife’s, who would be pushing for a return “home”.”

While no one is really sure how the first factor will take shape but talking about the second one, we are pretty sure that Lucas Torreira will surely not resist a move back to Italy.

Especially after he had recently claimed that adjusting to life in England has been a bit difficult.

“The language [barrier] has cost me, to be able to relate with my peers and with the people. It is very difficult when you can’t have dialogue,” Torreira said earlier this month.

“And so is the climate. You go out in the morning and it is cloudy, you arrive late to your home and it is cloudy.”
