Arsenal take on Watford in the Premier League on Monday and the Gunners need to pick up three points.

As many as four clubs are fighting for the 3rd and 4th spot on the league table and with Chelsea losing to Liverpool, all the other clubs have been given a huge advantage.

Arsenal still have one game in hand in comparison to Spurs and Man United and two in comparison to City which means if Unai Emery’s men can beat Watford on Monday they will move into the fourth spot on the table.

And before this game, Unai Emery has lauded the mentality and competitiveness of his team.

“But we are fourth at the moment and we are playing to be in the top four,” Emery said.

“I think we are showing we are competitive and have a good mentality. Our mentality, we need to continue improving with a process.

“This team have a good mentality and they are improving, we are improving and the table is giving us this answer – we are improving.

“We can see two things, one is the amazing response at home, big matches and big results and away we are doing sometimes good matches.

“We are playing some matches and being competitive but in other moments the opposition, they are being more competitive than us and they battle us but each match is a new challenge and response for us – starting Monday.”

On paper, this might look like an easy three points for Arsenal but Emery will surely have one eye on the Europa League clash vs Napoli on Thursday.

Arsenal will travel to Naples just three days after their clash vs Watford which means that there is a huge possibility that Unai Emery might choose to rest a number of his key players at Vicarage Road on Monday.
