Arsenal are set to lose two of their first team regulars at the end of the current season – Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck.

Aaron Ramsey has been a key part of the Gunners squad this season but the club had refused to offer him a new deal as a result of which he will be moving out of North London.

Ramsey will be heading to Italy in order to join Juventus as a free agent as soon as the campaign ends.

Danny Welbeck has spent most of the season on the sidelines after he picked up a serious injury and he too will be leaving on a free transfer during the summer.

On the top, it might look like that Unai Emery has to replace two players before the next season begins but the problem is more than that.

Both Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck were homegrown players for the Gunners and as per the rules of the league, Arsenal are in a bit of a problem.

As per Football London: “Premier League and UEFA rules stipulate clubs have to field a minimum of eight players out of a total of 25 that have been trained by clubs from the same domestic league.

“Four of which must come from the club’s own youth system with the rule capping a maximum of 17 ‘foreigners’ for the club.”

In January, Unai Emery named a 24-man squad because he only had seven home-grown players.

But with Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck leaving, the Arsenal boss will now have to promote some youngsters from the academy.

This will surely be good news for the young lads who will get the opportunity to mingle with the big boys but as per the depth of the squad, it is surely a cause of concern for the Spanish boss.

But right now the big question is that which of the youngster will be promoted to the first-team squad?
