Arsenal take on Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday and Unai Emery has some selection concerns going into this match.

Right now, Arsenal are fourth on the league table with 60 points and the Gunners could very well go into the next week as the third-placed team on the table.

Right now, Spurs occupy that very same spot but Pochettino’s side are just one point above their North London rivals and on Sunday they take on Liverpool at Anfield. So there is every opportunity that the Lilywhites might drop points.

Arsenal news vs Newcastle United:

Aaron Ramsey remains a doubt for this game as the midfielder is still recovering from a dead leg and reports claim the Welshman will not be part of the matchday squad on Monday.

And with Lucas Torriera suspended the midfield area could be a problem for Unai Emery.

Granit Xhaka is recovering from a groin strain but reports claim the midfielder should be fit before Monday in which case he will start alongside summer signing Matteo Guendouzi.

Arsenal will play the usual three-man back line and Sokratis will most certainly start after a minor injury scare during the international break.

Sead Kolasinac also picked up a slight knock while on national duty but he played Bosnia’s second game vs Greece and should start as the left wing-back on Monday while Maitland Niles plays on the right-hand side.

Nacho Monreal has also been nursing an injury during the international break and the Spaniard did not travel with the Arsenal squad which went to Dubai for some warm weather training.

While most reports claim that Monreal will be fit but we believe Emery will not try and rush him back especially since he has plenty of options available in defence.

With Ramsey absent Mesut Ozil should get a start on Monday playing as a link between the midfield and the attack and both Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are expected to start vs the Magpies on Monday.
