Man United return to the Premier League after the international break and in their very first match they take on Watford at home.

Solskjaer has been named the permanent United boss and the Norwegian has signed a three-year deal at the club.

And the Watford game is the first time, Solskjaer’s tactics will be scrutinized with depth and not with the perspective of a caretaker manager fielding a team.

Going into the game, Man United had a number of injury concerns and at one point it looked like the Red Devils might have to go into this game without a fit striker.

Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard all pulled out of international duty and there were serious doubts over their participation this weekend in the Premier League.

Rashford had a troubled ankle while Lingard was short of match fitness as a result of which the duo returned back to Manchester from the Three Lions camp.

Anthony Martial was also sent back him shortly after reuniting with the French national team due to a knee issue.

But the good news is that all these three players had reported for training at Carrington earlier this week which indicates that the trio should be available for selection on Saturday.

Left-back Luke Shaw and midfielder Nemanja Matic had also picked up knocks during the past two weeks but they too returned back to the first training session at Man United after the international break.

This means that Solskjaer should have fully fit squad to choose from this weekend with the only doubt being Romelu Lukaku who could be sidelined for a couple of weeks.

A win for Man United vs Watford would mean they would momentarily regain that fourth spot on the table until Arsenal take on Newcastle United on Monday.
