Arsenal have won all of their league matches in 2024 but that record is in danger of tumbling because on Sunday, the Gunners travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City.

City’s draw vs Liverpool before the break helped Arsenal regain the top spot on the Premier League table and if they can win on Sunday then it will be a very big step towards winning their first league title in 20 years.

Arsenal have won four of their previous five matches and they have also kept the most number of clean sheets(11) in the EPL this season. Arteta will be hoping that his defenders can hold the fort vs City as well because anything other than a win and they are going to slide down from the top spot. Liverpool are level on points with Arsenal and they are just behind based on goal difference.

Arsenal’s team news and injuries:

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel are all doubts for Sunday’s away trip but the Arsenal manager has hinted that the trio could be fit in time.

The manager has told the press: “There is a chance. They haven’t trained but tomorrow we have another session so there is a chance that they can be available.”

Saka and Martinelli both withdrew from international duty due to injuries and because they had two weeks of rest, the pair should be fine and available for selection.

Apart from these three players, all the other regular starters are fully fit so the Arsenal manager will have the chance to name his regular starting XI on Sunday.

Ben White was seen training with a strap on his leg but hopefully, it’s just a precaution and he is ready to start.

If Gabriel Martinelli or Saka somehow miss out then it will definitely be a big blow for Mikel Arteta but he does have quality backups in the form of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus.

Zinchenko came off the bench in extra time against FC Porto before the break and he played just 26 minutes against Iceland for his national team. The Ukrainian international has not been in great form this calendar year but we think the Arsenal manager will want him at left-back instead of Kiwior.

Arsenal predicted line up vs Man City:

Predicted Starting XI(4-3-3): David Raya; Gabriel, William Saliba, White, Zinchenko; Declan Rice, Odegaard, Jorginho; Martinelli/Trossard, Havertz, Saka/Jesus.
