Arsenal will take on Huddersfield in the Premier League on Saturday and before the game, Unai Emery has some injury concerns.

Arsenal could miss three first-team players for Saturday’s encounter with the likes of Rob Holding and Aaron Ramsey picking up injuries in midweek.

Rob Holding picked up a knee injury while playing against Manchester United and the manager has claimed the injury could be of a serious nature.

Aaron Ramsey picked up an ankle injury in that very same game and the midfielder also remains a doubt for Saturday.

Mesut Ozil is also recovering from an injury and only a late fitness test will determine whether the playmaker will feature against Huddersfield.

But amongst all this, Unai Emery has one reason to smile as defender Laurent Koscielny is back in contention for the weekend fixture.

Koscielny ruptured his achilles last May while playing in a Europa League game and has been recovering since.

But last week the defender played twice for Arsenal’s youth side and the 33-year-old could be named as one of the substitutes on Saturday.

While Laurent Koscielny has fully recovered but the Frenchman is nowhere close to match-fitness meaning Unai Emery will only bring him on if it is absolutely necessary.

Arsenal take on Qarabag at home in the Europa League next week and we feel this will be the game when Unai Emery decides to hand the defender his first start of the 2018/19 season.

Arsenal are fifth on the league table – tied on points with Chelsea and a win over Huddersfield will give the Gunners the opportunity to move into the top four if Manchester City manage to beat Chelsea.
