Arsenal just ended the 2019-20 season with an FA Cup win over Chelsea and they are already back in action this weekend as they take on Liverpool in the Community Shield.

The Gunners have had very little time to rest and with all the transfer activities still in full swing, it will be really hard for Mikel Arteta to name a good enough starting XI against a team like Liverpool.

But having said that, the Arsenal boss does have a fit enough squad and most of the big-name players featured in their pre-season friendly against MK Dons.

Arteta should be opting for a 3-4-3 formation and most of the players who featured in the starting XI in the 4-1 win over MK Dons should also get to play against Liverpool.

Arsenal team news vs Liverpool:

Bend Leno missed the last few matches of the 19-20 season due to an injury but the keeper is back to full fitness and will feature in goal against Liverpool on Saturday.

The manager should be planning to use a three-man defence and with Pablo Mari and Mustafi both out injured, it will possibly be Kieran Tierney who will feature at the back.

William Saliba has joined the Arsenal squad and the young Frenchman is also expected to feature in the starting XI on Saturday.

Dani Ceballos’ loan spell has ended meaning he will not be playing against Liverpool until the Gunners can bring him back on board once again.

And with Matteo Guendouzi frozen out, it will be Lucas Torreira who will feature in central midfield alongside Granit Xhaka.

Cedric Soares signed a permanent deal with Arsenal and will hopefully feature as the right wing-back just like he did against MK Dons.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been tipped to join Wolves this ongoing transfer window but the player should get to start vs Liverpool as the other wing-back.

Aubameyang will hopefully get be fit enough to start but Alexandre Lacazette is not likely to feature as Eddie Nketiah plays as the No 9.
