Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba has tested positive for the coronavirus as confirmed by France manager Didier Deschamps.
GFFN broke the news earlier today claiming that the midfielder had tested positive and will be replaced in the France national squad by a 17-year-old.
They wrote on Twitter: “Paul Pogba has tested positive for COVID-19 & was replaced in the France squad by Eduardo Camavinga.”

And now national team manager Didier Deschamps has confirmed the news stating that he had to make the call at the very last minute.
“I’ve completed, at the very last minute, a change in the list,” Deschamps said on Thursday, as per the BBC.
“Paul Pogba, who was previously on the list, unfortunately for him he carried out a test yesterday which was returned as positive this morning.”
This is really unfortunate news for Paul Pogba who will now have to go into self-isolation for 14 days meaning he is likely to miss the pre-season training with Manchester United.
The Red Devils kick-off their Premier League campaign on 19 September against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford and the midfielder should be fully fit and eligible to play the season opener.
Pogba missed a large chunk of the 2019/20 season due to various injury issues and it was only after the resumption of the season a couple of months ago that the midfielder go to play regularly in the first XI.
