Arsenal take on Watford at home on Saturday in the Premier League and Unai Emery will be hoping to keep his unbeaten streak going after suffering defeats during the first two weekends of the new season.

The Gunners beat Brentford in the third round of the Carabao Cup and a number of the first team players were rested by the manager.

But come Saturday most of those players will return back to the first XI and hence we decided to take a look at the Arsenal team news vs Watford since Unai Emery will go for a major reshuffle.

Arsenal team news vs Watford:

The most important aspect of the Arsenal team news vs Watford is the fact that both Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette will start the game.

Aubameyang was rested in midweek while Lacazette did make an appearance from the substitutes bench to score a goal in the 93rd minute of the match.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan also started the match vs Brentford but will surely drop down to the bench as Mesut Ozil returns back into the side against the Hornets.

Danny Welbeck who scored in midweek will also drop down to the bench.

Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey will also get back their first team spots but we assume only one of them will play the whole game given that Arsenal have a Europa League tie next Thursday.

Sead Kolasinac was named on the bench against Brentford but he is expected to start against Watford during the weekend meaning Nacho Monreal will drop down to the bench.

Petr Cech will also return to the starting line up after summer signing Bernd Leno played as the first choice keeper in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
