Arsenal beat Portsmouth in the FA Cup on Monday and next up they take on West Ham United in the Premier League this upcoming weekend.

The Gunners are currently 10th on the league table and have managed to win just two of their last six matches. And with each passing match, their dreams of playing in the Champions League next campaign seems to be fading away.

Up until last week, Arsenal had the chance of qualifying for the top tier of Europe by winning the Europa League, but they have been knocked out of that competition by Olympiacos meaning Arteta’s men could once again be dealing with mediocrity next season.

Arsenal haven’t lost a Premier League home game to West Ham since 2015 and if the North London club are on song then they shouldn’t have to sweat too much in order to pick up a win against the Hammers.

Arsenal team news vs West Ham United:

David Luiz was partnered by Pablo Mari in central defence during the match vs Portsmouth in midweek and there have been reports that the pair could once again start against West Ham this weekend.

But we think the manager will not risk using Mari in such a big match which is why Shkodran Mustafi should come into the starting line-up at the Emirates.

Sokratis played at right-back during Arsenal’s FA Cup tie, but Hector Bellerin will most certainly return back to his favoured role on Saturday.

Lucas Torreira came off injured during the Portsmouth game and after the match, the midfielder was seen in a protective boot meaning he is ruled out of the Hammers game.

Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos have been the priority pairing in the Premier League during the past couple of weeks and we feel the manager will use them once again while Mesut Ozil reprises his role as the attacking midfielder.

Nicolas Pepe has been underwhelming all throughout this season and there’s every chance that he could be replaced by young Gabriel Martinelli on the right flank.

Auabmeyang was rested on Monday but the Gabon international will come into the side to play on the left-hand side.

Eddie Nketiah put his name on the scoresheet once again in midweek and there have been whispers that the Arsenal boss could be tempted to keep him in the starting line-up meaning Lacazette will only find a place on the bench.
