Arsenal will take on Qarabag in the Europa League on Thursday and Unai Emery is set to make a number of significant changes to his first eleven.

The Gunners have already qualified for the knockout stages meaning the manager does not need to take any big risks especially with an important game against Southampton coming up next weekend.

Arsenal team news vs Qarabag:

Unai Emery will surely rotate his players for the Europa League encounter meaning a lot of young players could get starts.

Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka will both be rested for the game meaning Unai Emery should name Matteo Guendouzi and Mohamed Elneny in central midfield

The whole of the attacking line-up could get a rest and Alex Iwobi could be the only known face.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Lacazette and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will hopefully start on the bench and will only be called upon if needed.

Eddie Nketiah could start up front with Joe Willock playing down the right flank and Emile Rowe playing in the hole just behind the striker.

The Arsenal fans would have loved to see Mesut Ozil get some game time on Thursday but the German is yet to recover from his injury while Aaron Ramsey is also out injured.

Nacho Monreal should recover in time but we do not think Unai Emery will risk him for this low key game.

Shkodran Mustafi picked up a hamstring injury last week but he is expected to recover and should start in central defence alongside Sokratis.

Rob Holding picked up an ACL injury during the game against Manchester United and the player will be out of action for a significant amount of time.
