Spurs suffered a shock defeat as they went down 1-0 to Newcastle United at home last weekend in the Premier League.

And while this loss might not have been too dampening under normal circumstances but this result comes just a week before Spurs take on Arsenal in the season’s first North London Derby and some Lilywhites fans have already started fearing the graver.

Pochettino’s men have so far managed to pick up only a single win and if they aren’t careful, there is a very pragmatic chance that the Arsenal game is their third game in a row in which they drop points.

Spurs news vs Arsenal:

Spurs full-back Kyle Walker-Peters picked up a knock during the Magpies game with could rule him out of the derby. And if this happens then it could be the cause of a big mess for the manager since Juan Foyth is also unavailable due to a foot injury.

So if Peters cannot make himself fit in time then we will possibly see Serge Aurier start at right-back for Tottenham on Sunday.

Ryan Sessegnon like Fyoth is still recovering from a thigh injury and he still needs maybe a fortnight to make himself available for selection.

Summer signing Tanguy Ndombele is suffering from hamstring trouble and some rumours are claiming the Frenchman could miss out on his first North London Derby.

If Ndombele is ruled out then it will be Moussa Sissoko and Hary Winks playing in central midfield with possibly Christian Eriksen playing further up.

Eriksen came off the bench during Spurs’ loss to Newcastle United but Pochettino will surely want to use his finesse in the attacking third when they visit the Emirates.

And if the Danish international does come into the first XI then it would most certainly mean that Erik Lamela would drop back to the bench.

Dele Alli is close to making a return but he is still not fit enough to be included in the matchday squad which means Lucas Moura and Son will both keep their place in the starting line-up.

Harry Kane will start upfront but as we have seen during previous matches, he will be interchanging positions with the South Korean especially when Spurs have possession.

Spurs predicted XI vs Arsenal:
