Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been tipped to move out of Arsenal at the end of the season and it seems like the Gunners have finally made a decision regarding the player’s future.

Aubameyang has netted 17 goals in just 26 Premier League games this season and he is one of the biggest reasons why Arsenal still have a theoretical chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

But the player was tipped to leave the Emirates in January amidst heavy interest from Barcelona and it seems like the Catalans will once again try and sign him during the summer.

And rumours have it that if Arsenal fail to get back into the Champions League next campaign then surely Aubameyang will try and head out of England.

Amongst all this, the Gunners are trying really hard to make Aubameyang sign a new deal at the club but there seems to be a major roadblock in the conversations.

The Gabon international wants £300,000-a-week under the terms of his new contracts and right now, the club is not willing to pay such a huge hike.

So as per the reports, if the forward does not lower his wage demands soon enough then Arsenal will look to sell him off in the summer since they already have a high-profile buyer in the form of Barcelona.

Barcelona are likely to pay top dollar for Aubameyang and the Gunners board has agreed to cash in on him, instead of inflating their wage bill further.

But all this will depend on whether the North London club can qualify for Europe or not. If the Gunners can somehow manage to get back amongst the big boys then they shouldn’t mind handing Aubameyang a new and improved contract which includes a 30 per cent wage hike.

Update on the future of Aubameyang:

According to the latest updates, it seems like Arsenal have received a massive boost in holding onto their premier forward since Barcelona have informed the player that he is no longer their top transfer target for the summer.

Barcelona have recently been linked with players like Lautaro Martinez and are also looking to bring back Neymar from PSG and this is why they might not necessarily be going after Aubameyang.

This will obviously be big news for the Gunners since no other big club have been linked with Aubameyang during the past couple of years meaning if Barcelona were to back out then there’s every chance that the forward might be forced to stay back at the Emirates.
