Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Arsenal have reportedly decided not to sell off Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer if they do not receive the right transfer value for the forward.

If this decision is true then the Gunners will risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of the 20/21 season which is a really precarious situation for the club since Arteta desperately needs money to rebuild his squad.

And according to Ray Parlour, the Emirates outfit should work sensibly and offload him this summer and use the money to bring in reinforcements for the 2020-21 season.

“I think you’ve got to sell him if he doesn’t sign a contract, and then take the money and try to replace him,” Parlour said on Friday’s talkSPORT Breakfast.

“It’s really difficult to keep a player if he doesn’t want to stay.

“It’s a big decision to make, but I don’t know what sort of money you could get for him if he doesn’t want to stay. If you get a good fee for him then you have to try and go out and replace him.

“That is difficult, but it has happened at every single club when players come to the last year of their contract.

“I’m praying that he wants to stay and Arsenal can sign him on a new contract and he can be there for the next two or three years under [Mikel] Arteta.

“It all depends on the manager as well, if they get on, and also if he feels the club is going forward. That is the big decision the club have got to make, but hopefully, he stays.”

Will Aubameyang be sold off this summer?

Aubameyang has one more year left on his current deal and by the looks of it, he is not likely to put pen on paper to a new deal any time soon.

And while reports are suggesting that Arteta will not be afraid to hold him for one more season but we strongly believe the Gunners will let him leave in case they can get anything close to £45-50 million.

Last year, the club let a player like Aaron Ramsey leave on a free transfer so there’s no way the hierarchy will want to make that same blunder. This time with a player like Aubameyang.
