Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Arsenal should allow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Man United if the Red Devils are willing to pay £100 million for the player, that’s according to Charlie Nicholas.

Aubameyang is about to enter the final year of his contract at Arsenal and over the past couple of months, Man United have been heavily linked with the Gabon international.

And while the Gunners are desperately trying to make him sign a new deal they eventually might have no other option but to cash in on him in fears of letting him leave on a free transfer next year. But as per Nicholas, the North London club will have to make a strong decision since they cannot make afford another Aaron Ramsey saga.

Nicholas told Sporting Life, as quoted by the Standard: “If Arsenal were to get £100m for him to sign for Man Utd, I would take that.

“It will make them better, that is why they would pay big. Arsenal were the challengers to United for the title, but now neither of them are. Man Utd offer £100m for Aubameyang, sell him.

“Arsenal have failed abysmally when there has only been a year left of a player’s contract.

“It would only be acceptable if it was a case of selling him for the reinvestment of the team.

“You have to either give him what he wants to sign him up or sell to get the right money and sort out this defence once and for all. My preference would be to keep him but I have a feeling Arsenal will not keep him.

“If [Mesut] Ozil stays, I feel they will sell him, and they cannot afford another Aaron Ramsey saga.”

Aubameyang to Man United: Can Arsenal quote £100m?

The forward’s deal at the Emirates is about to expire in 2021 and even though Nicholas has urged the club to be bold but we doubt if they can risk quoting such a high price for Aubameyang.

Right now, Arteta needs money to rebuild his squad and if Arsenal cannot get back into the Champions League next season, we are afraid the manager will have to raise most of it by himself.

And in such a scenario if the Gunners were to ask for such an astronomical price for Aubameyang then Man United will just pull the plug on the deal.

Also, the Gabon international right now is 30-years-old meaning he only has a few good years of top-flight football left in him. Hence we are pretty sure Ole will not be stupid enough to pay such a huge transfer fee for someone who is in the twilight of his career.

Instead, if he is so inclined to splash out so much cash then he’s just use that to convince Daniel Levy to sell off Harry Kane.
