Aubameyang Arsenal EPL

Barcelona are planning to bring in a new centre-forward this month and as per the latest updates, the Catalans are currently looking to sign Aubameyang.

Initially, Barca wanted to bring Alvaro Morata on board but that deal has collapsed in the final 72 hours which is why the La Liga side have shifted their focus to the Arsenal forward.

According to the reports, the Spaniards have approached Arsenal with the hopes of signing him on a loan deal with a purchase clause at the end of this season.

Aubameyang has massively fallen out of favour at Arsenal this season so Mikel Arteta will have no issues in sending him out on loan and reducing his club’s wage bills. But for this transfer to happen, two major conditions need to be fulfilled.

Find someone who can replace Aubameyang:

Arsenal are actively searching for a new centre-forward and after chasing Dusan Vlahovic for so long, the Fiorentina man has just joined Juventus.

Mikel Arteta has made it his priority to sign a striker this month and as per the rumours, the Gunners are now shifting their focus to someone like Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

There are several other alternatives as well but if Arsenal cannot land a centre-forward in the coming days then we don’t see them letting Aubameyang join Barca. Despite not playing in the past few months, Arteta will be more than happy to keep the Gabon international in the squad instead of thinning out his forward area even more.

Barcelona need to get rid of Dembele:

Barcelona are trying really hard to get their hands on Aubameyang but some experts believe they need to sell Ousmane Dembele before they can register Aubameyang.

Xavi has already told Dembele that he needs to find a new club before the end of this month but the winger has expressed his desire to remain at the club for the remainder of the season.

This whole saga has turned into a complete mess and there’s every chance that if Dembele refuses to leave then Barcelona might have to scrap their idea of loaning in Aubameyang.

Barca have also signed Adama Traore on loan meaning they have already eaten up some of the wage gaps which they currently have.
