Barcelona defender Yerry Mina has been the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs but the 23-year-old clearly other plans.

Mina joined the Catalans from Brazilian side Palmeiras during the summer transfer window for a transfer fee of €11.8 million but it seems that the player’s days at the Camp Nou are already numbered.

Barcelona have signed Sevilla’s Clement Lenglet meaning Yerry Mina’s hopes of being a regular in the first eleven have been dented badly.

But the 23-year-old is clearly in no mood to give up and wants to stay back in Spain and fight for his place.

According to a report in the Mundo Deportivo(as reported by Calciomercato), Yerry Mina has admitted that he has received offers but has no intentions of moving out any time soon.

Mina said: “It’s true, but I want to win with Barcelona.”

This statement will come as a huge blow to a number of Premier League clubs – namely West Ham United and Everton, who have been in the hunt for the defender for some time now.

Yerry Mina’s agent had also confirmed a couple of days back that Everton had officially made a move to sign the defender but like his client, Jair Mina too feels that moving out of Barcelona after just six odd months will be useless.

While the Hammers had not made any formal contact with Barcelona but they too have a serious interest in signing Yerry Mina which they hoped to achieve by offering the defender a regular place in the first eleven.

But now it seems that only a guaranteed start will not be enough to lure him out of Camp Nou.

Having said all this, there is still little to no report as to what Barcelona’s stance is about keeping Yerry Mina in the squad.

The Catalans paid almost €12 million for the services of the defender but if a club does approach them with a more than decent offer then they will seriously think about offloading the 23-year-old.

A decent offer though should be more than €25 million as some reports in Spain had week had claimed that Barcelona had already rejected a bid for Yerry Mina which was in the region of €25 million.
