Manchester City blew away Schalke 10-2 in the Champions League Round of 16 over two legs and after this emphatic win, many believe the Citizens are the favourites to lift the trophy this season.
Pep Guardiola has turned Man City into a dominant force over the past couple of seasons but up until now, the Champions League trophy has always eluded them.
But the way that the Citizens have been performing this season, they are surely one of the favourites to win the tournament.
Premier League star Jimmy Bullard has also outlined Manchester City as the favourites to win the Champions League but the former Fulham star believes there is only one team capable of stopping Pep Guardiola’s men.
The former Wigan star told Soccer AM(via Metro): ‘Man City will be happy [with the quarter-final draw]. I can’t see past them right now.
‘The only team City will be worried about is Barcelona. If you play Barca and [Lionel] Messi turns up, it’s goodnight. But I see City winning it.’
Martin Keown has also claimed that Man City are the favourites to win the Champions League.
The former Arsenal man said: ‘All four ties are magnificent. It is great that we could have three English teams in the semi-finals.
‘I went for Manchester City to win the Champions League at the start of the season and I’m sticking with that prediction.
‘With City and Liverpool on opposite sides of the draw, there is still the prospect that they could meet in the final.
‘Already in an epic tussle for the Premier League title, they could end up battling each other to be crowned European champions.’
