Chelsea brought in Gonzalo Higuain during the January transfer window on a loan spell and with that Sarri finally got the striker he needed.

Upon arrival, Higuain did manage to make an impact but since then that initial aura has faded away and right now both Gonzalo Higuain and Eden Hazard are struggling to get goals.

Both Hazard and his forward partner have scored just once in the past six games and now speaking about the recent dip in form Sarri has revealed why the duo are struggling.

Maurizio Sarri said(via Metro):

‘Sometimes we’ve played with very good quality in the offensive phase, and sometimes not,

‘We started to defend in a very good way in the last month, I think.

‘Now we need to start in the offensive phase to play every match with the same ideas.

‘At the moment, we are not able to do this because, sometimes, we are without movement without the ball

‘Sometimes we didn’t put the ball into the box very well or attack the spaces behind the opponents’ back-line very well.

‘We need to have consistency on this.’

Looking at what Sarri has said, it is pretty clear the Italian manager is in no hurry to get things right which indicates that he has the backing of the Blues hierarchy.

The manager has claimed that his side’s defensive part has strengthened in the past few months which means he will now get to work on building a better attacking unit with the likes of Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain.

And finally, we might just be able to witness the true Sarri-ball in the Premier League.
