Bayern Munich suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the Round of 16 of the Champions League.

The Bavarians went to Anfield and came away with a 0-0 draw with many felt tipped the tie in favour of the Bundesliga outfit.

The second leg was supposed to be played at the Allianz Arena and now many teams can go there and beat Liverpool comfortably.

But that is exactly what Liverpool did.

The Reds won the second leg 3-1 courtesy of a brace from Sadio Mane and a goal from Virgil Van Dijk.

No one really expected Bayern Munich to be overpowered so easily that too at home and now it looks like their troubles aren’t over yet.

UEFA have opened an investigation into Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka this week after the midfielder wore a Bundesliga shirt during their 3-1 loss to Liverpool.

While most people might not see a major issue in it but as per the UEFA kit regulations, only one sponsor is allowed on shirts during Champions League games.

On the Bundesliga shirt though, apart from the T Mobile sponsor on the front Bayern Munich also have a Qatar Airways logo on the left sleeve.

But during Champions League games, the left sleeve would have the ‘Respect campaign’ logo instead of the usual sponsor.

Is still remains to be seen whether UEFA will let Bayern Munich off with a warning or will the Bundesliga outfit will be slapped with a hefty fine.
