Rangers defender Bruno Alves has claimed that fellow Portuguese, Cristiano Ronaldo will be a monumental success for Juventus.

If you haven’t been living under the rock then you will surely have heard that Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of joining Serie A giants Juventus for €100 million.

And now his former international teammate, Bruno Alves has told Portuguese paper O Jogo: “Cristiano Ronaldo will triumph again at Juventus,

“There is no league where he cannot be successful. He has already proved that he can win in any country and Italy is no different.

“I am cheering him on because Ronaldo is a testimonial for Portugal in the world. I was at his side during so many battles for 12 years and I know how much he can motivate himself. That’s important when accepting a new challenge.”

Bruno Alves is himself on his way to Italy and is expected to join Parma in the coming few days after spending just one full season with Rangers FC.

Alves joined Rangers on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Cagliari last summer but the 36-year-old has failed to impress anyone last season and now Steven Gerrard has decided to let him move out especially after the acquisitions of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic as defensive reinforcements.

Recent reports have suggested that Bruno Alves has been spotted at Parma’s training ground which has led many to believe that the defender could move out of Rangers in the coming few days.
