Arsenal manager Unai Emery seems to have grown a real liking towards Celtic youngster Kieran Tierney.

Tierney has come up through the ranks at Celtic Park and this season, the left-back has been in fine form for the Bhoys.

So far, the 21-year-old has played in 17 Premiership games for Celtic and right now he is easily one of the best full-backs in Scotland.

It is being reported that Arsenal have been monitoring Kieran Tierney for a long time and Unai Emery is expected to launch a bid for the player at the end of the season.

The Gunners boss will reportedly be given a 50 million pound transfer budget for the summer window and one of his first priorities would be to strengthen the current defensive line for the upcoming season.

Having said that though, Arsenal aren’t the only club who are interested in signing up Kieran Tierney as reports suggest that recently departed Celtic boss, Brendan Rodgers wants to bring the player to Leicester City next season.

Some rumours have also claimed that German giants Borussia Dortmund plan to make a move for the youngster at the end of the season and this is where Arsenal could fall down the pecking order.

While the Gunners will most certainly pay a hefty price for Kieran Tierney but if rumours are to be believed then BVB are willing to offer as much as 25 million pounds for the left-back.

This amount of money might not be a problem for Unai Emery’s side but given that they will only have 50 million pounds to spend will the Spanish manager want to spend such a huge chunk in buying just one player?

Celtic know for a fact that it will be very difficult for them to keep hold of Kieran Tierney beyond the summer but given the player still has four years left on his current deal, the Bhoys will have the negotiating power.
