Arsenal take on West Ham United in the Premier League this weekend and the Gunners are expected to pick up a win in this game.

The North London club might have been knocked out of the Europa League last week but the club are currently unbeaten in their last five league matches, having won their last two encounters.

While West Ham United too go into this match with their tails up after a 3-1 win over Southampton last weekend but according to Charlie Nicholas, the Hammers have major defensive problems which should see them drop points vs Arsenal.

Nicholas wrote for Sky Sports: “West Ham had a wonderful result last week and I’m pleased for David Moyes.

“There’s been slow improvement for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta and I like his authority.

“I’m excited about the progress of the youngsters, and for the first time in a while, I feel there’s a genuine hope for those coming through. Bukayo Saka, Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah all have really strong Arsenal futures.

“West Ham will be a handful and Michail Antonio seems the best solution for them at present with his pace and power, but I still feel there’s a vulnerability about their defence.

“I think it’s going to be a busy day for Lukasz Fabianski back at his old club.”

Arsenal also have a problem:

Yes, West Ham United have a very poor defensive record this season but Arsenal too have been woeful at the back for most of the campaign.

David Luiz, Mustafi and Sokratis have all been major disappointments so far and there’s every chance that the likes of Haller and Michail Antonio cause serious problems for Mikel Arteta’s side.

David Moyes’ attackers are a force to reckon with so there’s every chance that players like Ceballos and Bukayo Saka are bullied into making mistakes during the match.
