Rangers FC travelled to Croatia in order to take on NK Osijek in their Europa League qualifiers and Gerrard’s men came back home with a 1-0 victory.

But the match was not the only thing that the fans had been raving about since they seemed to have won a very important victory off-field as well.

Right before the game, a Facebook page of a Celtic Bar in Dubrovnik posted a picture of a 25-metre long banner which was scheduled to be unveiled during the Osijek vs Rangers game.

The banner read: ‘You’re not Rangers anymore. Glasgow’s Green and White’

And if you feel that the words on the banner are harsh, let us tell you that this was scheduled to be unveiled in Osijek, Croatia during the night on the match as one Celtic fan chose to drove eight hours from Dubrovnik in order to put the banner up.

The match got over, Rangers won the game but the banner was nowhere to be seen and many Gers fans thought it was a victory for their side.

Some users on Twitter even claimed that the Hoops fan did drive to Osijek but the banner was snatched away from him before could put it up.

And as the Light Blues fans were busy rejoicing, the Celtic Bar’s Facebook page put up a photo which showed that very same banner put up on the streets of Osijek.

The caption on the photo read: “Kind regards from Osijek, zombies!

“You can only imagine our banner in your hands, as well as you can imagine your club exists.

“Next photo when we will be back in Dubrovnik #hailhail.”

So the Celtic fans finally had the upper hand in this battle as they managed to unveil an anti-Rangers banner at the heart of Osijek while Steven Gerrard’s men were busy sweating it out on the pitch.

And the Celtic Bar has warned that the next photo will be from Dubrovnik.
