The Champions League final will be played between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur next month at the Metropolitano in Madrid.

And after a very long time, the Champions League final will an all-English affair.

Liverpool outclassed Barcelona in the semis, winning the two-legged tie 4-3 as they beat the La Liga 4-0 at Anfield.

On the other hand, Spurs who had failed to sign a single new player during the past two transfer windows beat Spurs in sensational fashion.

Spurs won the semi-final on away goals as Pochettino’s men thumped three goals past Ajax away from home.

While most people are placing their bets on Liverpool winning the Champions League this season but given the kind of heart and courage that Spurs have shown, it is not advisable to write them off.

And now to add more glamour to the final in Madrid, UEFA have announced a sensational opening ceremony.

The governing body of football in Europe released a statement in which they confirmed that US alternative rock band Imagine Dragons will be the guest stars of UEFA Champions League final.

The band who had made hits like, Radioactive and Believer will perform before the Champions League final kicks off.

“We are extremely excited to be collaborating with Pepsi on the 2019 UEFA Champions League final opening ceremony,” said UEFA Events SA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein.

“For the fourth year running, the opening ceremony will bring music, entertainment and sport together in an epic experience for fans – and Pepsi is the perfect partner to help us do that.

“Last year’s performance by Dua Lipa was a great success, breaking records as our most-viewed, single piece of social media content ever.

“We know that Imagine Dragons are going to build on our fans’ excitement for the opening ceremony performance with a rock show football fans will never forget.”

“We’re honoured to be playing the UEFA Champions League final opening ceremony with Pepsi for some of the most passionate sports fans on the planet. It’s going to be a great show in Madrid,” lead singer Dan Reynolds said as quoted by UEFA.com.
