Liverpool handsomely beat Huddersfield 5-0 in the Premier League on Friday and with that, they once again went on top of the table,

The Reds have obviously played one game more than Manchester City but given Guardiola’s men have already won their game in hand, all that the Citizens now have to do in order to defend their title is to win their remaining games.

But right now, Jurgen Klopp will need to shelve the thought of a Premier League title as the Reds get back into Europe this week.

On Tuesday, Liverpool welcome Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals and there have been several rumours floating around that Roberto Firmino might not be fit for that clash.

Roberto Firmino was not named in the matchday squad vs Huddersfield due to an injury and many have started to believe that this injury has ruled him out of action for the remaining game this season.

But speaking after Friday’s win, Jurgen Klopp was quick to set the record straight.

“I always tell you don’t believe three per cent of what you hear on social media,” Klopp told the BBC.

“I had no argument with Mo especially after the Chelsea game and Roberto Firmino is not out for the season.

“He fell in training and the physiotherapist wanted to see what happened overnight and this morning he said, no he still feels it a little.

“It’s kind of a small tear, and we will see. It’s Bobby Firmino so I would say he’ll be ready for Barcelona.

“It’s not 100 per cent, it’s not too far away, but it’s Bobby Firmino and he’s a machine so we will see.

“We will take no risks, and it’s good we showed it can work without him.”

If Roberto Firmino does miss the first leg against Barcelona then surely it will be a huge blow for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.

But judging by what the manager said, we that the player should return back to training by Sunday.
