Chelsea lost their previous Premier League game vs Arsenal 2-0 and the Blues are now a club in dismal.

The Stamford Bridge were the favourite to win this encounter but it was Arsenal who were the better team – in almost every department.

Sarri chose to play Eden Hazard through the middle once again which made the Blues look toothless in attack.

The manager did make a host of attacking changes during the second half but the Gunners made to hold onto their 2 goal advantage in order to secure a comfortable win.

And after the match, Maurizio Sarri launched a scathing attack on his Chelsea players.

Speaking after the loss, the manager said:

“I have to say I’m extremely angry, very angry indeed. This defeat was due to our mentality.

“We played against a team that mentally was far more determined than we were and this is something I can’t accept.

“We had the same issue at Tottenham and we spoke frankly about that particular loss (a 3-1 defeat in November). I thought we had managed to overcome this issue.

“But it seems we have an issue with having the right amount of determination and being mentally strong. The fact of the matter is I’m finding that this group of players is extremely difficult to motivate.”

And now it is being reported that the Italian is particularly angry with Andreas Christensen.

The defender went into the dressing room(as reported) with 10 minutes left to play and did not seem to return back to the bench.

The report claims that Christensen had told the players that he was going to the toilet but the player did not seem to have taken Sarri’s permission before heading to the dressing room.

Sarri is clearly not happy with his player’s attitude on the pitch and it is being reported that the manager held a meeting on the training ground in order to clear the air with the players.

While the details of the meeting are still not out but one thing is for sure that the Chelsea manager wanted his players to pull up their socks.
