Chelsea suffered their second defeat of the season in midweek as Wolves came from behind to beat the Blues 2-1.

But the London outfit will have no time to sit and sulk over this loss since next up they host Manchester City at home on Saturday.

Chelsea are currently ten points away from the top spot and the first major concern for Sarri’s men will be to avoid a loss – which will effectively put them out of the title race even before Christmas.

Maurizio Sarri’s men had a number of chances to win the game against Wolves but most of them were squandered by the players.

A number of the Blues players looked tired from playing too much football and a number of people have been urging the Italian manager to ret some of his players on Saturday.

That though will not be a gamble that Sarri will be willing to take especially in such high profile clash.

Jorginho was rested for the game against Wolves but the midfielder will come straight back in to replace Cesc Fabregas.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek also got a rare start in midweek and was also the lone goal scorer for Chelsea. But he too will move back into the bench and summer signing Matteo Kovacic will regain his first-team spot.

Alvaro Morata too should move back to the bench and Olivier Giroud will start up front. This will be essential for Sarri since his team can opt to play the long balls whenever needed.

Marcos Alonso has been looking tired during the past couple of weeks and many people want the manager to bench him and play Emerson Palmieri in his place. But against Manchester City, there is no way, Maurizio Sarri will be taking that chance.

The centre-back partnership was tinkled around by the manager in midweek but we do expect to see the pairing of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger back against Manchester City.

Chelsea’s predicted line-up vs Man City:

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Hazard, Giroud, Pedro.
