Chelsea travel across London to take on West Ham United at the London stadium on Sunday but despite being on top of the table(when the article was written), Maurizio Sarri might have a serious concern.

The Blues failed to qualify for the Champions League last season as a result of which they are now playing in the Europa League.

And they kick-started their campaign with a win over Greek side PAOK this Thursday.

While the Blues emerged 1-0 winners but the match was clearly something that Maurizio Sarri would have wanted to avoid.

Not only was the PAOK game a Thursday night fixture but the Stamford Bridge outfit had to travel to Greece in order to play this game.

So up until now, the odds were already stacked against Chelsea since most of the players that featured on Thursday will return back to the pitch on Sunday vs West Ham United. Now though reports suggest that the Blues are in very big trouble.

Maurizio Sarri was already not pleased that two games had to be played in such quick succession and he said after the 1-0 win over PAOK, “We have to play again in 63 hours, on Sunday morning,”

And now to make matters worse will even have less time to rest of Sunday’s game.

The Blues were scheduled to fly out of Greece on Thursday night itself but a bad weather halted that plan and Chelsea only managed to board the flight on Friday morning.

This could seriously impact the health of a number of first-team players and given that Chelsea face Liverpool twice next week, Maurizio Sarri could have some thinking to do.
