Chelsea picked up a 2-1 win in the Premier League against Aston Villa in midweek and Lampard feels his team can achieve more.

When Frank Lampard took charge of Chelsea during the summer not many people had given them a chance in the top-four race this season.

But they are not only staking a claim for a Champions League spot but a couple of weeks ago, they were also in the hunt for the league title.

And according to the Chelsea manager, he is content with how his team have gone about their business but admits he wants more.

“I am happy but I want more,” Lampard told reporters. “We have had a pretty good start because most people probably expected us otherwise.

“But I want more all the time and I think that the last week has been a good example of that for us.

“I saw us go to Manchester City and trade with them like a big team who was in and around that level, then at West Ham we were not. Today we recovered.

“That shows me where we are to have a real potential to getting where we want to be, but also aware of the little tough bumps in the road.

“Today (Abraham) came back straight in where he left off.

(Kante’) ability to win the ball, the high intensity to lead into areas and win it back, it’s why he has this tag of being one of the outstanding players in the world. It’s a pleasure to have him in my squad.”

With the win, Chelsea manage to keep hold of their fourth spot on the league table – six points clear of Wolves and next up they travel to Goodison Park on Saturday in order to take on a crumbling Everton side.

While the footballing Gods are smiling on Chelsea, the same cannot be said for Aston Villa since the Dean Smith led side has managed to pick up only a single win in their last five Premier League games.
