Chelsea’s potential transfer interest Christian Benteke has claimed that he is quite happy at his current club Crystal Palace and does not wish to move out of south London during the summer.
According to reports, the 26-year-old has been linked with clubs like Chelsea and Everton. But now the Belgian International has made it pretty clear that he is happy with his life at the club and has high hopes that Crystal Palace with be reaching newer heights this season under manager Frank de Boer.
Benteke said, “I’m very happy. I want to be part of the project of the manager and I’m looking forward to this new season,” he said.
“I want to perform and to score more goals and to really help the team to reach where they want to be.
Since we came back for pre-season I didn’t really want to talk, but I want to be here. There’s the World Cup and that’s an important aspect of being with the club and you have to perform to be part of that group.”
