Chelsea are expected to part ways with a number of players next year as some will be sent out in January itself while others are expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

And for the longest time, everyone believed that midfielder Cesc Fabregas would be one of those players.

Fabregas himself hinted that he could move out of the club at the start of the new year hence interested clubs were busy lining up bids for the Spaniard.

But the whole scenario changed when Maurizio Sarri publicly claimed that he wants both Cesc Fabregas and David Luiz to stay at the club beyond the summer.

The Chelsea boss claimed that Cesc Fabregas and Luiz’s experience will be vital for the whole squad.

And ever since that statement, the Blues have been trying hard to make the ex-Barcelona man sign a new deal at the club.

The talks though are still to reach the next stage as a result of which some reports claim that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich himself will talk with Cesc Fabregas.

Abramovich is a huge admirer of the midfielder and wants him to stay at the club.

But it will not be easier to keep him at the club especially since AC Milan have now shown interest in signing him up.

Unlike Chelsea, AC Milan have a brilliant way of handling senior players meaning Cesc Fabregas will receive significant game time if he does decide to move to Italy.

Cesc Fabregas currently has six months left on his contract and the Blues will need to sort out the new deal before the end of January or else they risk looking him for free next summer.
