Chelsea were beaten 3-1 in the London Derby this past weekend by Tottenham Hotspur and this was the first time that a Maurizio Sarri Chelsea team has failed to pick up any points.
The Blues fans knew that this day would eventually come but what they are really angry about is the way how their team let Spurs walk over them so easily.
Chelsea looked rattled from the very first minute and each and every component of the Stamford Bridge outfit was below average.
Jorginho failed to get hold of the game which meant that Pochettino’s men bossed the midfield. And whenever Harry Kane and co, got past the midfield and into Chelsea’s defensive line, they were hardly met with any resistance.
David Luiz was particularly poor on Derby day and since then the Brazilian has been subject to a lot of criticism from the Chelsea fans as well as the rivals.
But this time the centre-back has chosen to respond.
Odds Bible posted a photo on Instagram with a bit of trivia of how David Luiz has been at fault 63% of the times whenever the Blues have conceded a goal this season.
This post was without a doubt a bit of sarcasm which was directed at the Chelsea defender but the Brazilian chose to make an apt response.
He replied to that very same post saying: ‘And the 28 points we had won?? Leaders always take the responsibility, no problem!!!’
Some fans are angry with David Luiz over the fact that he needs to up his performances on the pitch so that he does not have to go about defending himself off it.
But most of them are of the view that Sarri should just sell him off in January and get hold of a new centre-back.
