Man United welcome Chelsea at Old Trafford this weekend and this high-profile encounter is a do or die game for Ole Solskjaer this season.

Right now, Man United are sixth on the league table – three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea and a loss would most certainly crush any hopes of them qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Chelsea too need to win this clash in order to secure that top-four spot on the Premier League table and they have added unnecessary pressure onto them after drawing their previous game 2-2 vs Burnley.

If the Blues had won that game then they would have moved above Spurs temporarily but after that draw, Pedro has claimed that the clash vs Man United on Sunday is nothing less than a final.

“It is like a final for us,” Pedro told Sky Sports.

“It is so important to reach the top four. We need to win in Manchester but we know it is difficult to play there.

“They have very good players and are a very good team. Maybe they are not in a very good moment, or in very good form, but we need to fight together to win this game.

“It was a very good opportunity for us to get these three points at home but we could only draw against Burnley.

“I feel good. I might not start on Sunday but the result is the most important thing. I am so focused on this game. I want to win – it is the only possible result for us.”

A loss for Man United will most definitely mean that they will have to play in the Europa League next campaign but a negative result for Chelsea might not be the end of the world for Maurizio Sarri.

The Blues are still in the Europa League this season and if they manage to win that competition then they would gain direct entry into the top tier of European football next season.
