Chelsea take on Wolves in the Premier League on Wednesday and Maurizio Sarri will surely be resting a couple of his first-team players.
The Blues are currently seven points behind league leaders Manchester City and Maurizio Sarri will be hoping to pick up an easy victory against an underperforming Wolves side.
Chelsea team news vs Wolves:
The Chelsea boss will be rotating some players for the game especially with a game against Manchester City coming up next weekend.
Olivier Giroud started the game against Fulham but was replaced by Alvaro Morata. This time though the Spaniard is expected to start while Giroud moves back to the bench.
Eden Hazard has been one of the top performing players for Chelsea this season and the Belgium international will keep his place in the starting lineup.
Pedro though will be rested and he will make way for Willian.
Another significant change will be in the midfield area where Ruben Loftus Cheek is expected to get a game after scoring one of the goals in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory against Fulham on Sunday.
Ross Barkley is recovering from an ankle injury but he is expected to be fit by Wednesday. And we feel Sarri will prefer Barkley over Loftus Cheek in midfield – only if the former is a 100 per cent fit.
Maurizio Sarri will hopefully not tinkle around with his defensive line but there is a small possibility that Marcos Alonso could be rested especially after his poor show vs Fulham.
Jorginho and N’Golo Kante will retain their positions in midfield meaning the Cesc Fabregas will once again start the match as a substitute.
