Chelsea take on Southampton in the Premier League this weekend and Tuchel has been handed a significant injury boost just days before the encounter.
Defender Thiago Silva was recovering from a thigh injury while playmaker Kai Havertz was also out but on Thursday, both of them were part of the first-team training session.
A report in Chelsea’s official website read: “The Blues were back in training today at Cobham as preparations began for our next Premier League fixture against Southampton, with two recent absentees back among the group…
“Thomas Tuchel’s men will be looking to continue to close the gap on our rivals and extend a six-game unbeaten run under the German head coach.
“Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz were both pictured back on the pitch as the pair look to get back to full fitness after time on the sidelines, while Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic also continued to put the hard work in as they look for more involvement in the side.”
Will Silva & Havertz start for Chelsea on Saturday?
The return of both these players will be great news for the recently appointed Chelsea manager but we don’t think either of them will be named in the match-day squad on Saturday.

Southampton are winless in their last five Premier League matches and on top of that, Tuchel has a well stocked-up bench for this weekend’s game which is why he will be in rush to bring these two players back into the mix.
Chelsea take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16 next week and there’s a chance that Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz could be available for selection during that encounter.
With Silva likely to miss out, Apzilicueta will play in central defence alongside Rudiger and Christensen while Mason Mounts gets to keep his place in the side due to the absence of Kai Havertz.
