Dani Ceballos has failed to make an impression at Arsenal during his loan spell and there’s a big chance that the player could head back to Real Madrid in the summer.

During the 2019-20 season, Ceballos has struggled with various injuries which is why the attacking midfielder has played in only 14 Premier League games so far – providing two assists.

And there have been rumours that Arsenal are not keen to sign the player permanently and will send him back to Spain once this season is over.

But a fresh report suggests that Dani Ceballos does not mind heading back to the La Liga but instead of staying at Real Madrid, the player would want to head back to Real Betis – the club which he left to join the Los Blancos.

Will Dani Ceballos remain at Arsenal?

Under Mikel Arteta, Ceballos has found it really hard to secure a place in the first XI and it is only recently that the player started getting some game time alongside Granit Xhaka in central midfield.

But the Arsenal boss made it clear that he is yet to make up his mind about keeping the loanee beyond the summer.

Earlier this month Arteta had said: “We haven’t had any discussions about it [a permanent deal].

“I’m really happy with Dani and what he’s bringing to the team right now. It took him a while after his injury to get to the level that he has and that I’ve seen in the past.

“He’s performing much better now and that’s why he’s playing much more games.”

And since the manager is sure to bring in some fresh talents during the upcoming transfer window we are pretty certain that Arsenal will not look to sign Dani Ceballos permanently, thereby sending him back to Spain.

But there are some people who claim that it will be really hard for Arsenal to rope in new players in the summer since they will not be playing in the Champions League which is why there’s a massive chance that Arteta will look to keep Ceballos at the Emirates instead of looking for another player.
