Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing PSG full-back Layvin Kurzawa during the summer transfer window – as per reports.

Kurzawa was close to joining Arsenal in January but the move eventually did not happen and the left-back ended up staying at PSG till the end of the season.

But the Frenchman is out of contract at the Parisian club this summer and he as of now has no intentions of signing a new deal meaning he will be a free agent once the current season comes to an end.

And as things stand Liverpool are amongst a number of clubs who are interested in signing Layvin Kurzawa during the summer.

The Reds already have Andy Robertson who is one of the best left-backs in world football but Jurgen Klopp is desperately looking to add a back-up to the Scottish international for the upcoming season.

And given that Liverpool will not have to pay a dime for Layvin Kurzawa, the PSG man will be the ideal player to perform this job.

But getting their hands on the player will not be an easy feat since Barcelona too are keeping tabs on player and might make contact with him over a possible move.

Apart from Barcelona, Arsenal too could reignite their interest in the full-back at the end of the season but Liverpool still remain top of the lot since right now they are one of the premier clubs in world football.

So on paper at least, getting their hands on the 27-year-old shouldn’t be a big ask for Jurgen Klopp’s side but what remains to be seen is if Layvin Kurzawa really wants to play second fiddle to Andy Robertson.

This season, the defender has played in 14 Ligue 1 games for PSG but if he was to join Liverpool in the summer then his appearances will most certainly be reduced to cup games.
