Arsenal welcome Southampton in the Premier League and the Gunners will be without Dani Ceballos for this match – as per reports.

Dani Ceballos joined the club on loan from Real Madrid and during his time at the Emirates, the Spaniard has churned out some pretty solid performances.

But earlier this month, he picked up a hamstring injury during the Vitoria SC match away from home and the club have now officially ruled him out for the Saints clash.

And if this was not bad enough, the injury update from Arsenal has also made it clear that Dani Ceballos will only return back to action sometime in December meaning he would be a string of important clashes including the ones vs Man City and Everton.

The report stated: “Left hamstring. Sustained during the Vitoria SC (a) match on November 6. Aiming to return to full training mid-December.”

This will be a huge setback for Unai Emery but on the other hand, the injury to Dani Ceballos means Mesut Ozil should get to play more games and even Joe Willock will also move up the pecking order.

But not all is not bad for Arsenal since full-back Sead Kolasinac is also expected to return back to action during the weekend after having picked up a slight injury during the international break.

The club confirmed: “Left hamstring. Returned from international duty with tight left hamstring. Being assessed ahead of Saturday’s match.”

Keiran Tierney is also going to available for selection despite fears that the summer signing might have picked up an injury.

The Scottish international had pulled out of international duties giving rise to fears that the left-back might have injured himself.

Now though reports have clarified that Arsenal had specifically asked Scotland to keep him out of the matchday squads.

With Tierney fully fit, Sead Kolasinac is expected to start on the bench while Dani Ceballos is replaced by Mesut Ozil in the attacking midfielder’s role.
