Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck is out of contract at the end of the season and chances are that he will be on his way out of the club.

Danny Welbeck suffered a nasty ankle injury during the first half of the season which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign and he is yet to return back to action.

During the 2018-19 season, the England international has played in only 8 Premier League games and it is more or less certain that Emery is not too keen to renew his contract at the club.

A number of clubs have shown interest in signing Danny Welbeck during the summer transfer window but the player is yet to make a decision about his future.

Everton and Newcastle United are said to be interested in signing the striker but as things stand the Magpies are in the driver’s seat.

It is still unclear whether Rafa Benitez will remain at Newcastle beyond the summer but the reports claim that the Magpies will move for Danny Welbeck irrespective of what Benitez choose to do.

But we feel that if Rafa Benitez chooses to move out of Newcastle United then it will be really hard for the club to lure in Danny Welbeck for the next season.

Instead, Welbeck will be more than happy to join Everton who have been playing some fine football under Marco Silva this season.

Danny Welbeck joined Arsenal from Manchester United in 2014 and since then the striker has mostly played second fiddle at the Emirates.

And now that Unai Emery has Alexandre Lacazette and Aubameyang at his disposal, Danny Welbeck is of no use to him.

But still, some experts believe, Arsenal should offer Danny Welbeck a new deal with a wage cut given that the England international can work as the perfect backup striker.
