David De Gea is on the same level as Liverpool’s Karius after Chelsea game: Here’s proof

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Chelsea at Old Trafford this Sunday which means the Red Devils’ plans of playing in the Champions League might well and truly have been crushed.

United started the game on the front foot and took the lead early on thanks to Juan Mata.

And just when the home fans were hoping that their team had bounced back from the humiliating loss to Man City, David De Gea came up with yet another howler.

Antonio Rudiger pulled out a long-range effort just before half-time and instead of holding onto the ball, David De Gea pushed the ball straight into the path of Marcos Alsono for an easy tap in.

And this was the third big mistake the Spain No 1 had made during this month.

First came the mistake against Barcelona at Camp Nou then in midweek, David De Gea made no real attempts to stop Leroy Sane from scoring the second goal and now this.

So after the Chelsea game, someone cheekily decided to edit David De Gea’s Wikipedia page and add Karius to his name.

Here it is:

Liverpool keeper Loris Karius is currently out on loan but he too became famous for making such howlers last season – especially during the Champions League final vs Real Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp though did not waste any time in replacing Karius as Liverpool brought in Alisson Becker last summer and now their goalkeeping problems seem to have been solved once and for all.

But Solskjaer though has made it clear that he has full faith in David De Gea and the Spaniard will remain his number one for the remainder of this season.
