Spurs and Chelsea clash against each other in the Premier League this weekend but before that two of their players have been making all the headlines.
We are talking about Spurs’ Dele Alli and Chelsea’s Ross Barkley who have been identified in a video reportedly misbehaving with some staff from a hotel.
The video was posted on the internet by a fan who caught the England duo arguing with some staff at the reception desk of London’s May Fair hotel.
This incident occurred right after England’s win over Croatia during the international break and since then the footage has come viral on social media.
The person who posted the video claimed that Ross Barkley and Dele Alli misbehaved with the hotel staff and branded them as pathetic.
But now Spurs forward Dele Alli has come out to clear the air about the whole incident.
The England international has claimed that he along with Ross Barkley were just trying to get an upgrade to a penthouse due to which they were having discussions with the reception staff.
He also came out to slam the person who posted the video saying that the person might not have even heard the whole incident but chose to jump to conclusion.
A spokesman for Alli said: “He was not staying at the hotel, so clearly could not have been demanding an upgrade.”
But the shocking turn of events happened when fans from rival Premier League clubs came out to show their support for Dele Alli and Ross Barkley.
Here are some reaction from the fans:
That video doing the rounds of Dele Alli and Ross Barkley is pathetic. Two guys have what looks like a fairly civil complaint with hotel staff and some parasite films it for likes, throwing around terms like 'role models'.

Dele Alli and Ross Barkley two of the most talented English footballers we have and could play in our midfield for years and some scum is trying to drag their names through the mud. Absolutely disgraceful that low lives need to have a hard look at themselves https://t.co/fSbY9SJyI7

Just seen the video of the fella filming dele alli and Ross Barkley arriving at some building early in the morning, get a life mate there’s no proof that they’re drunk. Besides even if they was drunk, they’re allowed to have one night off every now and then

If that Dele alli and Ross barkley video proves anything, it's that people will do anything to see stars fail. Looked totally taken out of context, made to appear a lot worse than it originally was

Tottenham and Chelsea take on each other this weekend in the Premier League and before such a high profile encounter this controversy could have easily derailed the onfield entertainment.
But thankfully most footballing fans have shown the sensibility and have refused to label Dele Alli and Ross Barkley as disgraces.
