Arsenal brought in Denis Suarez from Barcelona on a six-month loan deal but the midfielder is yet to start a game.

So far Denis Suarez has made four appearances for Arsenal in the Premier League and all of them have been off the substitutes bench.

Initially, it was thought that the Spaniard was taking time to settle down but now many reports have been claiming that Unai Emery is not too pleased with Denis Suarez since his arrival at the Emirates.

On Monday, Arsenal will take on Newcastle United in the Premier League and speaking before the match, Emery has hinted that Denis Suarez is in line to make his first appearance for the Gunners.

“I think yes [Denis Suarez is doing well]. I think he is okay for starting in the first 11 or for giving us this impact after,” Emery said.

“But I think now, our focus is collectively very strongly focused on helping in 90 minutes, or 50 minutes, or one minute. We are going to need every player for the next matches.

”He is OK for starting in the first XI, to give us this impact

“We are going to need everybody, every player for the next matches.

“We decided to go away to train for four days and play a match in Dubai. But it’s the same idea, the same spirit.

“It’s normal[regarding the time taken by Denis Suarez to settle down]. Now we have a lot of players ready, with a big mentality and with a big performance to play and help us.”

While Emery has been claiming that Denis Suarez is finally ready to start his first game for Arsenal but we feel that this has nothing to do with the player.

In fact, Unai Emery is currently facing a midfielder crisis with the likes of Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey out injured and Lucas Torreira suspended for the Magpies game.

And maybe this is why Denis Suarez is probably getting a start on Monday vs Rafa Benitez’s side.
