Rangers FC made their sixth signing of the season in the form of Liverpool full-back John Flanagan.
The right-back moved to Ibrox on a free transfer after his contract with the Reds expired earlier on this summer. And while many fans feel that the player is a wonderful buy by Steven Gerrard, a few other fans have opposed to the new transfer.
While there is very little doubt about John Flanagan’s talents on the pitch but a number of fans are weary about his record of it.
Flanagan was accused of assaulting his girlfriend Rachael Wall on a night out at the start of the new year and the right-back later pleaded guilty to the whole incident.
CCTV footage had shown John Flanagan hitting his girlfriend after which she was pushed against the wall and kicked.
The new Gers defender was then sentenced to a 12-month community order by the district judge of Liverpool.
And now the Light Blues are divided as to whether a character like John Flanagan can disrupt the atmosphere of the dressing room.
Had a bad feeling as soon as Gerrard was announced that he would bring in Jon Flanagan. Rangers should not be signing a player who has been found to have assaulted his girlfriend. End of. Assaulting a woman is not an accident.

All these posts I see about Jon Flanagan’s served his time and girlfriend forgiven him so we should, these people know nothing about domestic violence, victims do repeatedly forgive does that make it ok?…..

While some fans are not really happy with the fact that Rangers have a player who is not such a good human being others feel that John Flanagan has already been prosecuted by the law and hence should be given a second chance.
