According to a report by Football Italia, Juventus might sell Dusan Vlahovic and if so then he might be on his way to Arsenal.

Premier League side Arsenal are out in the market for a new centre-forward and Dusan Vlahovic is one of the forwards who is on the Gunners’ priority list.

Gabriel Jesus’s constant injury woes have been a major headache for Mikel Arteta and even though Kai Havertz has held the fort well throughout this season, the manager will have to bring in a world-class centre-forward before the 24/25 season kicks off. Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have combined scored just 14 goals across all competitions this campaign and Arsenal will definitely cash in on the duo as soon as the season comes to an end.

Can Dusan Vlahovic be a success at Arsenal?

Dusan Vlahovic joined Juventus during the 2021/22 season and so far, he’s scored 40 goals in 97 appearances for the Old Lady. This campaign has been particularly successful for him as he’s found the back of the net 16 goals in 30 Serie A appearances for Juve with an xG of 17.55 over 2185 minutes of league football.

The 6 ft 2 inch forward is a proper counter-attacking threat and this season, he’s started on the bench just five times. He’s scored 8 goals with his left foot and 5 with his right and in total, he’s had 83 shots from inside the opponent’s box. Arsenal have two nimble and pacy wingers in the form of Saka and Martinelli so if Arteta can add a physical specimen like Dusan Vlahovic in the mix then it will surely be a major recipe for success.

Ideally, Arsenal will need to bring in at least two centre-forwards and one of them will have to be a seasoned goalscorer.

Juventus had tried to sell the Serbian international last summer and there are rumours that the club have the same feelings this time as well. And if he is available for a fee of around €60-65 million then Arsenal can very well go after him.

However, his contract with Juve expires in 2026 and his current value is €65 million so it’s highly unlikely that the Italian side will let him leave on a discounted fee.

Arsenal are planning to bring in Viktor Gyokeres and if he can get Dusan Vlahovic for a bargain deal then the pair can help strengthen the forward department in the blink of an eye. However, we don’t see the North London side paying anything more than €65 million for the 24-year-old.
