Eden Hazard was not at the top of his game during Chelsea’s stalemate vs West Ham on Sunday but that does not take away the fact that the Belgian is one of the finest footballers currently in Europe.

After a sort of average performance under Antonio Conte last season, the playmaker has come on his own since the World Cup in Russia.

Eden Hazard scored three goals and provided two assists in the six games that he played for Belgium during the World Cup and it seems the forward has brought that performance to the Premier League.

After the coming off the bench during the first couple of games in the Premier League, Eden Hazard has regained his spot in the playing XI and he, in turn, has rewarded that faith with goals and assists.

So far Eden Hazard has scored five goals for Chelsea in the league along with two assists.

And with each passing day, the Belgian is being compared with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

But the Chelsea fans certainly do not think so.

After the draw vs West Ham, a number of fans pointed out that Hazard needs to be more selfish infront of goal if he wishes to match up with the likes of Messi and Ronaldo.

At first, the criticism might seem a bit harsh but we can understand what the fans were talking about.

Eden Hazard had a number of chances to take a shot all by himself during the Chelsea vs West Ham game but instead, he chose to pass it on to his teammates who failed to conjure any magic.

Chelsea now face Liverpool back-to-back this week and while Eden Hazard will surely be rested for the League Cup encounter on Wednesday, the playmaker should regain his spot once Jurgen Klopp’s men visit Stamford Bridge next weekend.
