Former Norwich City striker Grant Holt has chosen to change careers and has officially entered the world of professional wrestling.
Grant Holt is still an academy coach at Norwich City – a club where he spent four years but the 37-year-old has just entered a 40-man Royal Rumble and even won it.
Holt had signed a deal with the World Association of Wrestling(WAW) to fight in their Fightmare 3 event in 2019 but the Englishman made an early appearance during their Royal Rumble event as the last man.
But the sudden appearance almost went sour for Grant Holt as he was tipped over the top rope but somehow he managed to climb back in and knock over the last opponent to win the Royal Rumble.

Grant Holt started his professional career at Workington a club which currently plays in the seventh division of English football and during that time he also worked as a tyre fitter.
Slowly the striker moved up the football ladder and after going through a number of Championship sides, Grant Holt finally joined Norwich City in 2009 – a club where he ended up playing more than 150 games.
Grant Holt hung his boots in August of this year to accept a coaching role at Norwich City but now that the 37-year-old has entered the domain of sports entertainment he will surely bid adieu to his footballing life.
